Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2012

It is that time of the year again when we should our mother's and/or mother figures how much we appreciate everything they do for us. To me this is one of my favorite times of the year because I get to spoil my mom rotten. Not saying that I can't any other day, but when its mother's day she has to accept the spoils.

So for all you bloggers that don't know what to get your mother for Mother's Day yet. Here are some  inexpensive ways to treat mom.

 Bake Her A Cake

Bake her anything really. Maybe she is more of a pie lady it doesn't matter. It is the thought that you spend time baking her favorite sweet treat that your mother will love. If you are not a very good baker but like the idea. A local bakery might just help you out.

 Bejewel Your Mom

Jewelery  can get a bit pricey but if you like the idea of giving mom some nice bling think about making it yourself. You can get all your own supplies at a local art store or Micheal's Art Store. This way you can make it more personal.

 Let Your Mom Blossom

Flowers are the easiest fix to all last minute gifts! Some Mother's Day bouquets are just beautiful and as over done as flowers can be what women doesn't love a beatiful bunch? If you want to make it more of your own creation print off some pictures of you and your mom and family and modpodge them onto a glass vase. It will bring a personal touch your mother can keep for more flowers to come.

Framed Picture Perfect

What mother doesn't love pictures of her lovely kids. You can go for a custom frame, or you can get a collection of frames. For a more do it yourself version you can get cheaper mismatched frames or go to a goodwill store and pick up different sized frames. Take all the frames and spray paint them all in the same color. You have then created your own frame collage. Your mom will love it!

You can always just do something one on one with your mother. You can take her out to dinner, maybe go for a hike down your favorite trails. Another great idea is taking your mother out for a nice mani/pedi, facials or a whole spa treatment. Though the ideas of gifts are great, I am sure your mother would be just happy getting to spend the day with their own children.

So take the time to tell your mother how much you really appreciate what she has done for you.  I know my mother means the world to me and she is one of my best friends!

So happy mother's day to all the mommies out there and make sure your mom enjoys her day.

Engaged to a New Transition

HEY everyone

So I have been away and I have been busy but you will see some great things coming up in the next little while and I am excited! For anyone who has not been to Arizona before I definitely recommend seeing it. Arizona is just a beautiful state!

I was just recently there visiting my Fiancee. That's right Fiancee! We got engaged and I am so excited! So on that lovely note I will have a brand new series both on here and my youtube about Wedding DIY which i kind of already started but also what we are doing with our wedding and how to handle all the situations we are going through. Now I know you may get this from another blogger and such but I like to believe my sitatuation is a little different. You see I am NOT planning a wedding in my own province nor in my own country. I am planning to have my wedding in Arizona. So while I sit up here in lovely Canada I have to figure out all my planning and such  in the comfort of my own home. So It should be interesting. Not only will I have to go through the stress of a wedding but the stress of buying a house and moving to America legally. So at least once a week there will be an update vlog and blog on any questions you guys  might have, anything that Zach and myself had to deal with. So all of that jazz.

Feel free to leave comments and questions for the upcoming blogs/vlogs on the blog itself (any entry) or tweet me or comment/message me on youtube. I love answering questions!

Thank you for the support and We will be more intouch. Check out some of our photos of Sedona down below.

Dollar Store Easter Design

Easter is a fun, bright holiday with lots of lovely pastel colours. I wanted to change it up and stay with a metallic monotone pattern for my design and I wanted to accomplish this on a Dollar store budget!

What I used:

Plastic Eggs
Basket
Tissue Paper
Gold/silver Paint
Glitter (for mine I used Left over glitter spray paint)
Extra: If you want, Feathers!

This project does take an extra day. On the first day you need to paint the eggs and I also painted my basket white. You don't need to but I thought it would add to the contemporary concept of the basket.

The glitter will be added the second day. I used spray glitter because I had some left over but you can use either. I just wanted this to be a fun, easy and cheap project anyone can do and display.

So I hope you enjoy it! Happy Decorating! and Happy Easter <3

I have another centerpiece video done for you guys that will go up Easter monday before I leave to Arizona but after that to keep updated you will have to follow me on twitter! So Iwill try to get back into this grove but its been hard.

I will try and get some more blogs up before I leave but you will at least get two. One for each video! :)
